What to Expect at Life Anglican Church

Every service is a little different, with it's own tastes and styles but there are some things that are common across all services.
This church guide will let you know what to expect if you attend a church service with us.

Music

Our services start with singing lead by our music teams. Each service does that a little differently and some even in different languages.
We work hard at keeping our music engaging, spirit enriching and in genuine community.

Prayer

We are a church who values dependance on God for everything. We thank him and bring our requests to him.
Small elements of prayer are spread throughout our services including a time committed to bringing specific requests to God.
You will not be asked to pray out loud but we invite you to join by listening & reflecting as we lead people in prayer.

Teaching

We preach, teach and proclaim Jesus. We believe true and eternal LIFE only comes through him and want to connect people into Jesus and His Church.
We believe the best way to know Jesus is through his word the bible, so we read the bible and teach from it.
Messages last about 30 minutes.

Kids Church

We value children

We are passionate about helping parents teach their children about Jesus. Many of our services include a kids programs that are a safe, fun and engaging environment for children to learn. These programs are run by passionate and trained leaders including some qualified childcare workers and teachers. The program includes singing, games, craft, stories and discussion time.

How do I register my kids

You can just arrive at any one of our church services and you child can attend KIDS LIFE. Kids come into the main church with parents for family worship time. We announce the time for children to head out to Kids Church. You are welcome to join your child, meet the team and settle your child into any of our programs.

Facilities

A Parent room with a change table is available.

In some of our centres we have a comfortable parents lounge with toys for young children, a window overlooking the church service and a speaker to hear the service.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a service?

We aim to keep our service under 90min.

What should I wear?

There is no need to dress up or wear something special. Modest casual wear is fine.

Do I need to bring anything?

No. If you have a bible you can bring it. We hand out bibles at the door to anyone who wants one.

Will I have to do/say/give anything?

No. We offer an opportunity for regular members to worship God by giving financially. This is done by passing around a bag for people to put in money but there is no expectation for visitors to contribute.

Is there parking at Life Anglican Churches?

Sure is. In fact, in some of our centres we keep a couple of easy access spots available just for first time visitors.

Can I bring a pram to church?

Definitely. In fact, some of our services have space set aside between seats for you to park your pram right next to you.

Can my children stay in the service with me?

Absolutely. We provide great kids programs but you are welcome to keep your kids with you.
