Crossroads: Palm Sunday

The first Palm Sunday was the ‘coronation of Jesus’ as our loving king entered his own city to establish the rule of the long-awaited Messiah King. The crowds were excited and waved their palm fronds and put down their cloaks on the ground before their Saviour King. They were welcoming him, they were excited and shouted out Hosanna.
Jesus was establishing his Kingdom as he entered the city that week. On Palm Sunday he welcomed the praise and he also cried and lamented over Jerusalem, for the way she had poorly treated the prophets and rejected God many times over the years. Jesus was the only one that day who knew that he was going to be rejected by his own people.

By showing genuine love and bringing others to Christ, we extend his rule on earth.

Let us continue to be excited and celebrate the coming of the King of Kings and never change heart!
